The 5th Gen Mini Legend
http://www.pokemon.com/blackwhite/en/
So........we now know 2 of the English names for the 5th gen Pokemon.
I'm noticing some of features are similar to other Pokemon.
The left one looks like Charmander's body with Riolu's limbs, Flygon's tail, and Psyduck's mouth.
The middle one looks like Turtwig's body with Chikorita's limbs, Grumpig's tail, and Buneary's fluff.
The right one looks like Piplup's body with Pikachu's limbs, Mew's head, and Wobbuffet's tail.

After doing some planning and revising, I got chapter 1 up in the Fanfiction
forum. Let me know what you guys think!
Also, mu computer problems have been solved. :D
Hey, guys. I've got an issue with my internet at home so if you need something I made have to wait till Monday-Thursday to take care of it. :(
In the meantime, I've done some planning on the "Pokemon Pals: Shadow Arc" fanfiction. I should have a chapter done soon and I may add some artwork in it. When I add the chapters, do you think I should post them in the blogs here or in the forum?
So far, so good. Been helping on the SS GameFAQs board as well.
They just recently made new boards for SS/HG where people can trade and battle
Here's a link to my new trading topic:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=2000442&topic=53939272
I'm getting ready to add my shop topic.
I'm also going to add a Topic FAQ based on all the questions asked about Soul Silver.
See you there.
What do you mean in depth?
I mean that I will include every trainer's team, their moves, any Pokemon around that are good against them wild Pokemon, any items in the route, any hidden items down to the tile, and anything that people ask for.
Where will this be located?
This will be in the forum section, in the board entitled Soul Silver it will be stickied there, to provide easy access.
When will this be done?
I will begin it as soon as I get my team transferred over to SS, then I will keep going until I either forget about the FAQ, or lose interest in the game.
It's been awhile since we first heard about the release of Heart Gold and Soul Silver last May. While some people have received the Japanese versions since September, North America will start getting copies this comingSunday.
As we celebrate the release of these remakes of Silver, Gold, and Crystal, I want to recall my fondest memories of Silver Version.
WARNING: If you've never played these games and don't want to spoil anything for HG/SS, please don't read this blog.
1. The First Gym Leader, Falkner

With every Pokemon game, the first Gym Leader always makes an impression on
the challenge level of the game. Fortunately, they changed the type selection
in each gym for SGC so we didn't have repeat the same battles we did in RBY. In
Violet City, the first gym in the game, players fought against Falkner. His gym
specializes in Flying types. This was interesting because in every other region
the first gym leader uses Rock Types, which can be defeated by 2 or all 3 of
the starters chosen at the beginning of the game. However, with Flying types
only players that chose Chikorita would have more difficulty fighting Falkner.
Not just that but his Pokemon were unique. In his battles, he would use Pidgey
and Pidgetteo. Besides the fact that Pidgetteo is at Lv.9, which vertically
impossible to get, it also knew Mud Slap. This was a ground type move that
reduces accuracy and was introduced this generation. I had started out with
Cyndaquil so this threw me off guard. Fortunately, I was able to win and get my
Zephyr Badge. ![]()
2. Togepi Hatching from its Egg

In the beginning of SGC, Prof Elmasks the trainers to deliver the Egg from Mr. Pokemon to him. After getting the Zephyr Badge, his Aid will give it to you so that it can hatch. It was interesting having Pokemon and breeding introduced in this games. Although, it takes up space in your party, the rules about breeding made sense and added a new form of raising Pokemon. I don't remember when Togepi hatched in my game though.
3. Whitney, The Gym Leader everyone got owned by
![]()
http://img.imgcake.com/NebulaBlue/rollout.gif
That picture basically sums up what happened to people once they got to
Goldenrod City (although we don't know what statsher Pokemonhad). Whitney's gym
specializes in Normal Type Pokemon. Her team consists of Clefairy and Miltank.
Clefairy wasn't much of a problem, unless it gets to use Metronome, her ace was
Miltank. The reason why people got knocked here is because of the move Rollout.
This was a new type of moves that are continuous and gain more power after each
turn. Not just that but it was a Rock type attack so it knocked out Quilava,
other fire types, bug types, flying, and Ice types. It took me 3 times to take
out Whitney, which was also shocking because if you beat her, she'll start
crying instead of giving you the badge. ![]()
4. Game Corner Music
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWbUtdx827g
For a GBC game, this game had some catchy tunes. I liked listening the Game Corner theme on the radio.
5. Bug Catching Contest
On certain days in National Park, they hold the Bug Catching Contest. It was kinda like the Safari Zone in RBY except for you had to use your top Pokemon to help you battle and catch them. Whoever caught the rarest and strongest Pokemon could win the top prizes, in which first place won a Sun Stone.
6. The Statue in the Rocket Hideout

As soon as you get inside the Rocket Hideout in Mahogamy Town, a Team Grunt
would appear and battle you. This would happen with every statue you pass until
you turn off the switch. I don't remember how many I fought but I don't thinkI
turned off the switch....well, I was aamateur gamer back then....![]()
7. The Last Gym Leader, Clair
![]()
Just as the first gym leader leads an impression on the game, the last one leaves even more an impression and challenge. Clair of the Blackthorn City Gym specialized in Dragon Types, one of the strongest types in the game with weaknesses to other dragon attacks and Ice attacks. She used 3 Dragonair and one Kingdra. New dragon moves like Dragonbreath were added this generation. Its attack power was low but it caused paralyzation. I had lost her once but after training in Icefall Cave, I won the second time. Once you defeat her, you have to go inside Dragon's Den and get the Dragon Fang in order to get the Rising Badge.
8. Fighting against Myself
In RBY, all Ai opponent trainers were identified by their trainer type
except for Gym Leaders. In SGC each trainer was given a name. While heading
towards the Victory Road, I fought against Cooltrainer Ryan, who has a grass
type, fire type, and a water type Pokemon. I thought it was awesome fighting
someone with the same name as me. ![]()
9. Beating the Elite 4 for the first time
Silver version for me was the first time, I had ever defeated the Elite 4. I
was never able to accomplish that in RBY. Speaking of the Elite 4, Koga has
gained a postion among them and Lance was now the champion. I don't really
remember my Hall of Fame team though...![]()
10. Finding my first Shiny Pokemon
![]()
No, I'm not talking about Red Gyarados. While I was training, I found a RED
QUILFISH! I was estatic. I carefully lowered his health down to red, and then
went for a Pokeball.........................only to find out I didn't have any
left.....![]()
Now, I always make sure to have one of every Pokeball in my bag.
As fun as that game was, I lost it
(well I think my
friend stole it but I forgive him).I can't wait to experience old and new
memories when Sunday comes.
I made this sig for SS fans:
